What can I do to manage severe tooth pain until my appointment?

To manage severe tooth pain, I usually recommend that my patients take ibuprofen if they're able to, or a Tylenol. That usually does well enough to make sure that you're out of pain long enough for us to get you in and get you seen. Again, if that doesn't work, you can always call 911 or go to your local emergency room, and the doctors there should be able to help you.
